About the Project
Massage therapy relieves pain and stress and helps people relax their muscles after day-long working, which is a far better alternative to prescription drugs or surgery on early treatment. But it does not work for everyone for multiple reasons:
- Price
It's too expensive for long-term therapy. Not everyone can aford it. - Schedule
Some people may be too busy to make an appointment in the daytime, and usually people just need it at night after work. - Privacy
Due to privacy concerns, some people may fell unsafe to be naked with a stranger.
Reasons above motivates the research on massage robots. This project is to design a head massage robot applying massage therpy on people's head, so that people can enjoy head massage at home anytime they want.
